Having trouble signing in to myPSN?

Some people are having trouble signing in to myPSN for the first time, hopefully this short set of instructions will fix it for you. If you’ve done this and are still having problems please feel free to contact me, either through the form at the bottom of this page or through the comments.

1. Go to http://uk.playstation.com in your browser and sign in with your PSN details, please note that it must be this URL and it doesn’t matter if your account is from a different region – it will still work.

2. You will probably be presented with a screen that looks like this…

…and your instinct will be to try and put your email address and password in the box but there is no need to unless you have an extremely old EU Playstation forum account (it may even predate the PSN!). All you need to do is look at the next section down, titled “No, I will fill out the information myself” which is incredibly misleading – there’s no information to fill out! Just click submit in this section.

3. You’re done! Load up myPSN on your iPhone and it should work, if not then send an email my way :)

    Okay i go to the site http://uk.playstation.com and then what…it takes you to the home page not the page that you show. Can you give me the real link please

    When you go to the site you have to sin in with your PSN details, sorry I didn’t make that clear in the guide

    I just bought the psn app. Did all the steps!! Go to start the app, it always says site down try again later!!!! Is there something wrong with the app?

    I cannot log in unless I use my UK account. I want to use my US account… is this possible?

    Just follow these instructions using your US account and it will work the same :)

    Should do so long as you follow these instructions and make sure you go to http://uk.playstation.com/ and sign in there.

    Well I just installed it into my Ipod and it didn’t work UNTIL I did what this page said, and now it works fine. And yes mine is an american account.
