myPSN sign-in issues

Some users (from what I can tell) outside the UK/US are having issues signing in to their PSN account using myPSN.

I am currently investigating this issue and hope to have an update submitted to Apple in the next few days.

If you’re experiencing these issues and live in the UK or US please leave a comment or contact me via email.

    I dont have this problem, buy my question is, when I sign into ‘myPSN’ from the iPhone/iPod etc , do I get put online on my PS3 account? meaning, does that mean if my friend looks on his PS3, I will be online?

    please reply to me at: ReventonS@aol.com

    @Workshed
    ok, but would you be able to do that? just to appear online, and then do the normal things that you have already added in the app, like comapring trophies etc… because the app would become alot more popular if it were to make you sign in, if you can do that, then take a look at the xbox 360 apps, they let you download from the market place, so when u go on ur xbox, ur downlaod (which u set on ur app) will start.
    That would be a really good feature if it was in this app, these are just suggestions.

    But what you have done so far is extremely good.
    Keep it up.

      Thanks very much for the suggestions but I’m afraid they’re just not possible at the moment :( MS provide a lot more access to their data than Sony do (as Sony provide almost none!). They are certainly features which i would look to add if Sony ever allow it :)

    @Barry that’s very strange! Could you download the update and let me know if it works ok?

    @Barry
    Could you go to http://uk.playstation.com and check that you can view your friends list (please go to this URL and not the US equivalent, don’t worry that you have a US account, it should still work).

    When I use my PSN info it goes to a page that wants me to change over accounts.

    @Barry
    If you get a page that says “Transfer old account” or similar, that is only for use if you have very very old forums accounts. Presumably you don’t. If you scroll down the page sligtly there should be a section called “No, I will fill out the information myself” just press the submit button under that and then the app will work for you :)
